Literacy and Funded Programs

Literacy and Funded Programs encompass instructional programs and curricula in various disciplines throughout the district.  The Coordinator of Literacy and Funded Programs and the Coordinator of Secondary English Language Arts and Staff Development ensure that curricula in these areas meet or exceed the Common Core Learning Standards and adequately prepare students for the required assessments at all grade levels.  The Coordinators regularly collaborate with teachers, other administrators, and staff members to help the school district meet its academic performance goals.
 
The Coordinator of Literacy and Funded Programs supervises instructional initiatives in literacy, English as a Second Language, library, and social studies.
 
The Coordinator of Secondary ELA and Staff Development provides ELA staff development opportunities for teachers to ensure that all teachers remain current with the learning needs of our students.
